The Story

One of Sumter’s newest “old” restaurants, The Imperial Restaurant on Broad quickly established itself as a wonderful place for great food and superb live entertainment shortly after opening in 2008. Since the restaurant debuted in the original location of Big Jim’s Restaurant--for over 50 years THE place to go for a fine meal in Sumter--the Imperial has seen a steady stream of discriminating diners from Sumter and surrounding areas. Many originally came to admire the renovation of the 11,000 square foot building, with its warm wooden trim, cozy leather booths and redesigned lounge, but they return again and again for the exceptional food and service. Breakfast offers everything from a vegetarian wrap to a full-blown meat, eggs and gravy overload. Choose from our lunch menu or enjoy a home cooked buffet. Dinner is simply sublime.
